Top of the Docs

Another 'of the decade' list. This time it's documentaries.

For my money, the two best documentaries of the decade are James Marsh's spellbinding Man on Wire and Charles Ferguson's devastating, infuriating No End in Sight.

I think 'Bowling For Columbine' definitely deserves to be in there - the most worthwhile and well argued of Michael Moore's films. It tells us a lot about life in America at the turn of the century.

I like BFC as well - I saw Moore's Capitalism: A Love Story in the US last month. It has some terrific moments but doesn't work as a whole. I also love Fahrenheit 9/11 purely because it's so angry and politically biased!
